Free QR Code Generator Online

The Surfingskill QR Code Generator creates static QR codes for websites, plain text, WiFi login details, WhatsApp messages, email, phone numbers, SMS and UPI payment links. The QR pattern is generated inside the browser, and you can download the finished code as PNG or SVG.

The interface keeps the common options visible while putting colors, logo, style and error-correction controls inside an advanced section. This makes the tool simple for quick use without removing useful customization.

How to Create a QR Code

  1. Select the type of QR code you want to create.
  2. Enter the required website, message, WiFi, contact or UPI details.
  3. Open Design and advanced settings if you want to change size, colors, module style or add a logo.
  4. Click Generate QR Code.
  5. Scan the preview with another device to confirm that the QR works as expected.
  6. Download the final QR as PNG or SVG.

PNG vs SVG QR Code

PNG

PNG is convenient for websites, documents and normal digital sharing. Choose a larger pixel size when you need a higher-resolution raster image.

SVG

SVG is a vector format, so the QR can scale for print without becoming pixelated. It is useful for posters, menus, signs and design software that supports SVG.

What Is Error Correction?

QR codes include error correction so that some missing or damaged parts can still be recovered by a scanner. Higher correction levels add more redundancy but can also create a denser QR code. If you add a center logo, this tool automatically uses High error correction.

Can I Change QR Colors?

Yes. You can set a custom QR color and background color. For reliable scanning, strong contrast is important. A dark QR pattern on a light background is the safest default. The tool displays a warning when the selected colors have low contrast.

Always test before printing: customized colors, logos, very long data and unusual module styles can affect scanning. Scan the final downloaded file with more than one device before using it on a poster, menu, product label or payment display.

Does the QR Code Expire?

The QR codes created here are static. The encoded data is stored directly in the QR pattern, so the QR itself does not have an expiry timer from this tool. However, a website, WhatsApp number, email address or payment destination can stop working or change later.

Is the QR Code Generated Locally?

Yes. This version generates the QR matrix in the browser instead of sending your entered text to an external QR-image API. The JavaScript QR library is loaded from a public content-delivery network, but the form data is used locally to build the QR code.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this QR Code Generator free?

Yes. You can use the generator on this page without creating an account.

Can I create a WiFi QR code?

Yes. Select WiFi, enter the network name, security type and password, then generate the QR. Anyone you share that QR with may be able to obtain or use the encoded WiFi credentials, so share it only when appropriate.

Can I create a UPI QR code?

Yes. Select UPI and enter the payee UPI ID and name. Amount and note are optional. Verify the encoded payee information by scanning the finished code before displaying or sharing it.

Can I add my logo?

Yes. You can add a small JPG, PNG or WebP logo to the center. The tool adds a light backing area behind the logo and switches to High error correction. Scan-test the result because a logo covers part of the QR pattern.

Can I change the QR color?

Yes, but keep strong contrast between the QR pattern and its background. Very light foreground colors or dark backgrounds can reduce scan reliability.

Can I download a high-quality QR?

You can choose PNG sizes up to 1024 pixels and also download SVG for scalable vector output.

Does this work on mobile?

The interface is responsive and designed for modern mobile, tablet and desktop browsers.

Final Words
